My vegan friends are ticked i bought some leather shoes from the salvation army.?

I feel bad now but at the time though no company was profiting off the purchase. Am I a hypocrite?

well if you're not a vegan or you don't believe that it is wrong to wear leather then i guess you are not a hypocrite.
and my take on it is that if you buy it at a second-hand store it is getting more use out of it and still not profiting the company that makes it
there's nothing you can do about the company selling more; it already sold that pair of shoes
and the animals was killed less in vain because you are getting use out of it.
kind of nit-picky and perhaps far-fetched, but logical in my opinion
