My VW Polo( P reg) has an immobiliser problem, the immobiliser wont start the car. ?

the immobiliser light comes on the key fob but no response, when I open the car door the alarm dos'nt go off like it use to, can anybody tell me whats the problem is, any help really appreciated.
The battery is ok has been checked and it is fully charged.
 
Check that your car battery is ok first of all,perhaps it,s not an immobiliser fault,if your battery is flat then nothing will work
