My wife said my joke wasn't funny and i threw my drink on her. what do i do?

i told my wife a new joke that i came up with recently about david cameron as we were eating breakfast and she said that the joke wasn't that funny and walked out of the kitchen so i followed her out and threw my cup of tea in her face when she turned around to face me. she knows i am insecure about losing my funny side as it is one of my best characteristics and was uncalled for. how do i get her to apologise to me??
