my windows XP says disk boot failure?

yeah, so I started up my windows XP, but it kept going in a loop of sorts, it couldn't get to the desktop screen. So I switched it off, vacuumed the inside - there was a shitload of dust inside - and switched it back on. But then it says that there is a disk boot failure. help pls, I don't know computers very well so answer in layman's terms.
