Need the title of the film that came out in the 1950s, or possibly 60's.. It was black and white. If I remember correctly, a small group of the earth must build a spaceship with the hope of leaving the dying world to find another. Anyone remember the title of this classic? Thanks for the help! -Sean
Hi... Thanks for the answers given! But the film I'm thinking it's different from WHEN WORLD'S COLLIDE. The sci-fi yearn I remember was about either the sun growing in intensity, or the earth slipping out of orbit toward the sun. Perhaps it's an old Twilight Zone or Outer Limits episode--I can't recall. Anyone out there know the answer to my question?
Hmm, found it! It's called, THE DAY THE EARTH CAUGHT FIRE, a British Hammer Sci-Fi classic (1961).

When Worlds Collide

But forget the movie, and read the books.

It sounds like the George Pal classic "When Worlds Collide" (1951)
