Deep's property tax is $650.26 and is due April 30. He does not pay until July 6. The county adds a penalty of 7.8% simple interest on unpaid tax. Find the penalty using exact interest. Round to the nearest cent. (Assume there are 365 days in a year.)

i am completely lost and have no idea how to solve this problem does anyone know how to do this? help please
 
= $650.26 * 0.078 * 67/365 (Late payment from May 1 to July 6 is 67 days.)
= $9.31

Answer: $9.31 is the penalty.
