What guilt? I've got zero compassion for noisy dogs and wouldn't think twice about smashing one's skull with a hammer in order to get some peace. Push people to the edge and this is what happens, there was a time when I used to like dogs.

Quite agree. Quiet, well behaved dogs are fine, but a noisy dog is a serious nuisance to be removed by any practicable means. If the owners of noisy dogs were prepared to do something about the problem, then all this talk about extreme measures wouldn't be necessary.

I believe that many dog owners take pleasure from inflicting their horrible pets noise on others so why should I care what happens to the dog?

I'd just light a cigarette and laugh at it's misfortune as I drive away and leave the piece of shit stuck 200 miles from home.
 
Why doesn't someone post up a pic of a mut they have killed. Maybe that will shut the watcher up

I'd love to be a three-L troll(l) but unfortunately you've got it wrong. Over the 80 pages of this discussion, most people have answered or at least intelligently discussed the OP's question. That's not trolling. Sure there ARE trolls here - they're the ones who come on here and usually offer illiterate abuse and threats. "The Watcher" is the most obvious example but at least he's funny and can write quite well. The rest just yap away without making much sense - just like the dogs that have driven us mad enough to want to take extreme action as there is no legal way of dealing effectively with nuisance dogs.

Conscience? Guilt? As one of the other guys here said, I'd quite happily smash the damn dog up with a hammer. I'd poison it even if it means a slow painful death, or burn it with petrol or do whatever the hell it takes to SHUT THAT NOISEBOX UP. My rights are no more or less important than another person's but they take precedence every time over that of a cockroach, slug, dog or any other animal you care to name.

I understand that this isn't pleasant and if you love dogs you may find it offensive. If so, don't deal with the symptoms but deal with the cause. If you have a dog keep it quiet, and if you know anyone with a yappy dog convince them to do likewise. Then we noise haters will have no cause for complaint and everyone will be happy. Is this so difficult to understand?

Besides, anyone with 2 brain cells can read this thread and there's cases of dogs being poisoned in the news all the time....it's happening in many countries. It always warms my heart when the news services show footage of some devastated family with a pic of poor old fido who met a slow and painful end.

Who cares about watcher anyway? I don't want him to shut up, his death threats and boasting that he makes his dog bark make us look pretty damn good.

Just take a straight claw hammer and bash it in the head with the forks. One hit and it's done. Ya just have to wash off the blood.

I say this because the neighbors dog that roams around where ever it wants bit my sister's lil girl and when we got back from the hospital, I didn't even think twice, I grabbed my claw hammer from my tool bag and lured the dog behind my garage and blasted it in the head. One hit and it was done.

Throwing the dead dog on the neighbors lawn that night was the cruel part but they couldn't prove who did it so it's all good.

I wish I could do this to the annoying as fuck yapper next door but we have high fences and I simply can't get a hold of the little shit. I've been praying that it will get out one day and I can capture it and get some payback but it's only ever gotten out once and stuck it's head around the corner of my house while I was working in the back yard. Unfortunately it bolted as soon as I started towards it, it's like it knows I want to murder it lol

But yeah in your shoes I wouldn't hesitate either...if some mutt bites my family i'll shoot it on the spot and the law can't touch me for it

Know how you feel! Poisoning is a mug's game if the dog is in a neighbor's yard. You're just leaving evidence and asking for trouble. The ideal situation is that the dog gets out late one night so you can whack it, then leave it in the road to look like roadkill. It may be a long wait and I hope you get the chance sooner rather than later.

Normally i'd agree but it's do-able as long as a person has never complained about, yelled at or otherwise let on that they hate the dog. Also pay cash for the poison and get rid of it straight after use.

Some people just have no other option and like that poster said a couple of pages back it seems to be becoming more common, i guess they are finding out the hard way that the authorities are useless and fixing the problem themselves.
