This may sound ridiculous but it really is deterring me from scheduling an appointment to get contacts. About a month ago, I took my glasses off and was rubbing my eyes.. nothing special, just rubbing them normally. Well as I was rubbing them, something got caught in abnormally- I don’t know if it was eyelid or something- for about 3 seconds. It was like this for about three seconds, but I kept rubbing my eyes and whatever was “caught in” abnormally went away. I really have no idea what actually happened to my eye while I was rubbing them as obviously their wasn’t a mirror in-front of me. I do know I panicked in that moment where something “abnormal” occurred.
Well fast forward a month later and nothing has happened with my eyes since then. The thing is I’m strongly considering getting contacts.. Obviously in getting contacts I will be forced to touch my eye balls and lift my eye lid. I was already very squeamish about touching my eyes (as can be seen in my decision to have never worn contacts ever), plus toss in this recent “incident” I just described.
Does the incident I described above sound like a big deal? And should it prevent me from getting contacts?
Thanks!
