Newbie Linux wifi question?

Ubuntu

I used the windows driver wrapper software, the hardware started working and I joined my network, the wifi worked perfectly to I shut down to boot to vista. When I went back on to Ubuntu, the driver was still there and the OS had saved my networks name, when I was last on it etc, but now I can't see any networks to join let alone connect to my network.
Bump! Please answer, I'm stuck with Vista at the moment! =/
 
Which Ubuntu? Are you sure you need the wrapper? Have you tried reapplying it? Did you change anything on the network (particularly security settings, the wrapper'd approach doesn't seem to like WPA2 much)? Are you running a fully open Ubuntu or have you got the restricted drivers lib?
