...career for it? i love weed, but i don't let it effect my job, nick does. opinions on whether or not marijuana should be tested for in mma , and would YOU let it cost you a living? i can't imagine being in his position and risking it. sweating 10 lbs a day or not, minimal fat or not, is it worth the risk ? i think not, wondering what some others think .

Honestly, I don't think they should test for it since it doesn't enhance his performance, plus some people are against drug testing because of privacy issues (like if they have leukemia), I think there's really no point in testing for it. Besides, it's not like he's responsible for anybody else's safety, just his own. MMA promotions like UFC and M1 affliction might want to do it just because they're paying these fighters a lot of money and want them to be healthy enough to fight, but that's more of the fighter's responsibility than the promotion. The only bad thing I see happening with Nick Diaz smoking weed is if he fights while he's stoned and still kicks the other guy's @ss (and after seeing some of Diaz's fights, that could happen) and it just embarasses any future opponent he may have.

It is an illegal drug, engough said, right?

With the chemicals that are used, smoking can cause parkisons disease.

It does cause depression

And it effects your thinking

It should be tested for.

And it is not worth the risk!

I dont really think it matters. Test for steroids.. but the is really no reason to test for downers such as weed because they would only serve to hinder performance.

And it is illegal in SOME PLACES.. but not all.
