Nissan Altima Brakes?! 2008?

Hey! I'm 18 years old and just recently purchased a 2008 Nissan Altima. I have about 14k miles on it and already had to change my brakes! At first they started to squeak really badly and then it turned into a grinding sound. I know some might say it's because of my driving but I heard a lot of similar problems from other Nissan Altima owners. Anyone else having this problem or similar ones?
 
my 2008 sentra had same probs. mine got recalled... i have 48k miles on mine! :D
 
There is no way your brakes should have needed changing with only 14K. You didn't say whether or not it was front or rear. Do you drive with your foot resting on the brake pedal? This should be under warranty. Take it to the dealer.
