Ok my friend has these specs on her computer:
- Compaq Presario SR5200 Series, Model SR5210NX
-Windows Vista Home Premium
-Intel® Pentium® Dual Core processor E2140
1.60 GHz, 800MHz Front Side Bus
-1024MB memory
-33.3 GB hard drive space available
-256 MB integrated video card (not sure about pixel shader)

These are the requirement for the Sims 3 for XP and Vista (from TS3 website)
FOR WINDOWS XP

Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
1 GB RAM
At least 6.5 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB additional space for custom content
128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0

FOR WINDOWS VISTA

Windows Vista (Service Pack 1)
2.4 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
1.5 GB RAM
At least 6.5 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB additional space for custom content
128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
For computers using built-in graphics chip sets, the game requires at least:
Intel Integrated Chip set, GMA X3000 or above.
2.6 GHz Pentium D CPU, or 1.8 GHz Core 2 Duo, or equivalent
0.5 GB additional RAM

Now I'm not sure how to advise her. Do I downgrade to XP and upgrade to those specs? Or do I upgrade everything under the Vista requirement? Do I just tell her to get a new comp even tho its only a year old?

Any replies, opinions, and tips would be helpful. Thanks so much!!!
