The Democrats never wanted ANY other ideas, they just were mad they cannot blame this DISGUSTING MESS OF A BILL on the Republicans.

They OWN it.
PLUS THEY DIDN'T EVEN POST THE ENTIRE BILL TIL THURSDAY
and then it was on PAPER!! It wasn't even on a computer file!
NONE OF THE DEMOCRATS EVER EVEN READ IT THEMSELVES

Bipartisanship under this administration is defined as shut up and go along with whatever we say. Obama has even as much as publicly stated this. The reason they want bipartisan support revolves around a simple idea. If the plan fails they want to be able to paint Republicans as being on board with it. Rather than just a disaster fostered on the people by the Democrats alone. It amazes me how much Democrats are whining now about people expressing dissent for policy given their actions in this area over the last eight years. It is always interesting when the worm turns.
