I'm want to know if vhs videos that I bought over the last 15 yrs, can I record them using a dvd recorder? If yes, what would be the best brand of dvd recorder I should get, thanks for your time best anser gets 10 points

Yes. Sony makes one of the easiest DVD recorder/VCR. It has what they call one touch dubbing. Basically there are 2 buttons right in the middle of the unit. They are shaped like arrows and one points to the DVD and the other to the VCR. Its a very clever way of showing which side is recording and which side is playing. When pressed the button will turn green to show that recording has started. The button will turn red when finished. Very easy to use, you do not even need to hook it up to a TV.

The color of the buttons might have changed for the newer model year but the principle is still the same.
