on dish network when I set my dvr why does it record on both tvs?

I will go to the dish pass setting and set something to record and it will set it to record on both tvs. Also one show I set to record and two episodes come on in a row and I set it to record from tv2 but when it records it records the first episode on tv1 and the second on tv2. don't really know how to fix it. thnx..
