...then a 89 chevy sterring column? On my 81 chevy truck sterring column some of the electrical plugs are diffrent then an 89 chevy sterring column Is there an adapter that will convert the 89 electrical plugs to make it fit in my 81 chevy truck I am pretty sure I have seen these columns in the 80's model trucks so I know it can be done but I dont know how can anybody help me with this or does anyone know of a website I can get adapters or something...thanks...only 1 of the ignition plugs will plug in the others wont....
 
If you're good at wiring diagrams, get a couple of Haynes manual diagrams an trace the wires down. More than likely the color coded wires will be the same. You'll just have to have the pigtail that matches the column you're using. You won't be using all the wires coming from the column unless they have the same options, cruise, and etc. I don't know of any adapters.
