On my Sony Ericsson Z500a, I accidentally turned the screen light off. What do I do?

Well, my current phone is all messed up, so I borrowed one of my grandma's previous phones. I went to something on settings and thought that I was setting the backlight timer, but actually it turned the entire screen completely off. I realize that probably no one has this phone anymore, but I don't know what else to do! Is there any step by step way to get the screen back?

Try shuting the phone off then take the battery out and leave it out over night....put the battery back in and turn the phone on and you should be ok. it will reset it'self
