On the LG Optimus GT540, how do you set up Hotmail on the Microsoft Access?

I've tried and have just ended up using the "Other" option, which isn't as efficient and doesn't update my actual Hotmail account on Windows Live Mail, which I'm hoping the Access will, being made by Microsoft and all.
I'm fed up of reading a message on my phone (or computer) and not updating it's status on the other one.
