on the voyager why are these 5 buttons gray, and the rest black?

i have the verizon wireless voyager, ive had it for quite awhile now.
when u flip the phone open to the keyboard all the buttons are black except for 2,q,w,e,s ....those ones are gray
why are they gray?
do they do something special?
this is driving me insane
please answer!!!!!!
 
I think for some games on the phone, those resemble the moving keys (so like, on your keyboard you use your up, down, left, right arrow keys, on the voyager you use those ones).
 
I was wondering the same thing. I have a verizon enV and it's the same way except the space, enter, sym, clear, and shift key are too. That seems like a lot more typed out then it looks on my phone. :)


p.s. you could ask verizon next time your in the store or go on the website and email them. :)
If you get the answer post it here. Drives me crazy too. =D
