i have a 2000 lincoln navigator. about a month ago my window on the driver side door came off the hinges so it wouldnt go up, and i had no idea it was going to rain that night and the next morning when i looked out i freaked out and found everything on the driver side wet, from the whole seat to the dash and controls and everthing so when i was about to leave i decided to turn on my wipers and only the passenger one worked. the driver one only moved about 3 inches then started moving faster without stopping and it even start going off the windshield and hittin the rearview mirror, any idea how to fix this ? thank you, i need to fix it soon to sell it already.

You need a new wiper arm on the drivers side. They are made of pewter (or some other soft metal) and can strip out with very little force.

Both wipers are driven by a single electric motor. There is a linkage or arm that connects each wiper to the wiper motor. This arm has somehow became disconnected from either the wiper or the motor. This linkage is located under a cover at the base of the windshield. Sometimes the end of this wiper arm will get worn and break. However many times you will get lucky and you can simply pop the wiper arm back into place and have no further problems.

This is totally unrelated to the inside of your vehicle getting wet. Just coincidence that these failures happened at almost the same time.
