I got this idea for a story and it's been bugging me for awhile now. I wanted your guys' opinions first to see if its any good.
A couple weeks after a girl named Cordelia's parents die in a mysterious accident (sooo original, right? -_-), she moves with her younger sister to a rural and somewhat suspicious town to live with their aunt. Cordelia repeatedly has horrible nightmares about her little sister, getting to a point where she wakes up screaming for her every night. Long story short, her little sister supposedly falls into a coma for reasons unknown by the doctors, but it turns out to Cordelia she is trapped in a psychotic Wonderland-like dream realm. There are many different dream realms (some good and some bad), and when people sleep they apparently go into one of them. The one her sister is trapped in happens to be the one where nightmares originate from. So, Cordelia has to find a way to travel through these insane dream realms and save her sister. Possibly with the help of a friend? I'm not sure. If I decide to actually write this I'll be adding a lot more twists and characters, this is just kind of the basic point. Suggestions? Opinions? Critique? I'm a thirteen year old girl by the way, so I'd really appreciate any tips from more experienced authors. Thank you!
