Try resetting the router. Either press the reset button if it has one, or unplug the power cable for 5 minutes or so.

We have Wi-fi at home and it has been bad for the last few days. The signal is great, and it does allow us all to connect to the Internet. It shows up as being connected on all three laptops in our house. Weve had this connection for over a year and havent had problems with it until now.

The problem that all three of us have is that when we enter the details regarding the Wi-fi connection it says that it sends packets (it says "packets" in Spanish, I dont know what it would say on an English Windows version), but it does not receive them. It either doesnt receive them, or it receives an extremely disproportionate amount to that it sends. Pages dont load, Messenger doesnt connect.

We do not have a password on our Wi-fi and never have. At one stage I thought it might be other people connecting to our net and using too much bandwidth or something? The Internet company says (in Spanish) that the IP addresses have become "unsynchronised" or something. Whats going on? What could it be?
Hey guys, thanks for your answers. The first day this happened, I actually did do that. I left it unplugged all night and it didnt work in the morning, although the disproportion between sent and received packets DID decrease.

Ill try your suggestions out tonight.

Any other ideas as to what might cause such a problem?
