...heating, whats the problem? well i just got the car fixed it was over heating, had to change the engine oil cooler. Now the little light that indicates the car is over heating is coming on but the damn car is running fine, what could be the problem????? i have fluid in my coolant reservoir. Please help anyone who really would know about this. thanks.

The sensor and/or wiring harness at the bottom of the coolant reservoir are malfunctioning or corroded. Because the wiring harness is under the sensor, coolant or water gets in there and screws up the connectivity.

The effect is that it's indicating a failure when there isn't one. Another effect is that it's going to tell the engine that it's not hot when it is, and it will overheat, and you'll crack your head and/or block.

This is a known problem in the 1999. Well, known to many - I found out too late.
