p90x, fitness trainer, what type of program to choose?

I actually eat healthy, wasn't exercising for a months but I have slowly started to implement doing 10-15 minutes of exercise 3-4 a week... I have been thinking of losing my abdominal fat, and improve my overall fitness so I can feel and look healthy. If you were to see me with clothes you would think I were skinny, and I pretty much am except for all the belly fat. I've heard about p90x and liked what I've heard, but am wondering if I should just get a few sessions with a personal trainer.. I haven't got a program like p90x because I'm not sure as to whether or not I will get its full benefits if I go at a slow pace.. so my other question is if I do purchase the p90x can I go at a slower pace and still receive its benefits??
