penn station to brooklyn bridge easiest way with kids in tow ?

We plan to go from Penn station to Brooklyn bridge with family visiting from Dallas. We want to see the views of Manhattan from brooklyn bridge.What is the best way in Subway to go from Penn station.and also is there a good vantage point from which we can take some pics and also we want to try the famed brooklyn pizza. Any help will be greatly appreciated.Also if possible can you tell us how to go back to Penn station .
