Im female but kind of have a male sense of humour I think. You know how guys tend to jokingly say good things about themselves well I do that but people dont seem to detect that im joking. For example I was in class at college and looking through a draw for my student ID and someone said what you looking for, I said 'an ID card, its about this big and has a picture of a pretty good looking girl on it'. I was totally joking (im not attractve) yet people took me seriously and the girls who were plastered with make up started sniggering and giving me weird looks for the rest of the lesson.
I rarely even speak around people im very quiet shy (hardly any friends) but when i talk i just have the urge ti attept to be witty.
Another time the teacher went around the class and asked us all if we would date a dwarf (it was a sexual selection topic) and when it got around to me i just said 'yea if he had money' and people again looked at me weird and took it seriously. In an history class i was trying to fix my pen
and the really strict tutor got annoyed and shouted at me 'OI, you had better give me a political advantage of living in the 17th centry compared to now' I was scared really but said 'we would have had less history to learn' and the class started laughing, calling me thick and the tutor went mad
Most people are able to get across that they are joking but im bad around people, should i cut it out and attempt to be normal? Then again I just have a strong urge to make witty (well what i think is witty lol) remarks.
