Today I spent quite a bit of time trying to find an easy (and free) way to convert AVI files on burned DVDs in order to play them in my regular dvd player. Funny thing was I looked up "dvd players that play AVI" and noticed a player I already own is able to do so. For some reason however the disks would not play the audio if I used the HDMI cable, but everything worked fine when I took the HDMI cable out and just used regular AV cables in the player connected to the tv. Does anybody know why that is?
