playstation 3 blue ray fried?

okay me and my friend are wandering if sony will repare his bluray dirve he has opened it up like an idiot and idk if they will take it in to repare it, so we need to know if they will take it, he dosnt care if he has to pay th e150 dollars for the blueray but he just dosnt want to be screwed if he buys it form a website or ebay, any help will be appreciated. and xbox can suck my di*k so no xbox rules because it dosnt.
 
Sony will Fix Blu Ray drive costing $150 for any kind PS3 repair last time I check maybe $100.. either way wouldn't they ask for more. shouldn't take more than a week once they receive it but you might not get your system back as you'll more than likely get a refurb console
