EF: A Tale of Memories. It's moe, but it's pretty good. Beautiful animation. It's a school romance drama.

Angel Beats is a new anime that's coming out right now that's pretty good, but only a couple of episodes are out right now. The afterworld with girls and guns and immortality. But it's also looks like a romance comedy/drama.
I've been recommended ToraDora! enthusiastically.
My new favorite is Baccano!, which is gorey and confusing but freakin' amazing.
Paradise Kiss is an amazing drama, much more mature than the other romances I've mentioned.
