Environmental activists have a new statistic to add to their arsenal in the fight against those pesky plastic grocery bags. They have proof that taxing the plastic bags at the store dramatically reduces the number of bags used and has far-reaching support from consumers once implemented. In fact, in Wales, the number of bags handed out has dropped 96%. Even better, the percentage of voters who support the taxis up to 70%. Do you think that the US should follow suit?
