No, your laptop needs a hdmi input as well, otherwise it won't work. You could get a tv tuner, but the highest will be s-video and it will lag quite a bit. Just get a monitor or tv to connect the xbox.
i know this since I tried with my laptop, its an acer and you need an input. There's quite really no other way, that or a tv tuner.
