Help! I am facing difficulty printing ,I still can't print?
.

Last week I reformatted my computer and now I can't print.

My computer initially was using Windows XP when it suddenly blanked out. Before this my computer did not have Microsoft Office 7 so I was using Office Writer.

Then it blanked out one day so I sent it to the computer technician to reformat it to Windows 7,with features like Microsoft 2007 and my printer was not printing my documents 100 % like it used to, all the files are compressed into 25% of the page.

I just called my technician and he said that my printer driver does not support Windows 7, so that is why it is not printing properly. My printer is a Canon PIXMA iP 6000D.

He recommended that I reformat my PC back again to Windows 7 so that I can print normally again.
I did not want to reformat my computer again when I had just reformat it a week ago so I told him I will call him again.
I went online to Canon.com and found the Canon Ip6000 D Pixma printer for Windows 7 and downloaded the winzip file to my C: Users: Downloads file.
I open and run the file and install it, and now I could find this printer model in my Control Panel, but I still cannot print. I keep getting the message the printer is not responding , or status is Printer Error.

What should I do?

I do not know how to troubleshoot the printer in order to find out why is it not printing and I am so confused.
I need my printer to print documents urgently.I don't have the disk for Canon Ip6000D.
I cannot call my technician anymore because He will just reformat it back to Windows XP .

PLease please help,I really need a step by step instruction guide on how to trouble shoot my printer problem and make it print again ?
