I have recently been having two problems with my sony ericcson cell phone. I tried to call the company but they are closed until tomorrow so it would be much appreciated if anyone could help me.

The first problem is that I cannot send texts. I can receive them but when I write one it just stays in my outbox. I have service but this has been happening for a few days and I do not know why.

The second problem is that every few days my phone says "not connected to network" on the main screen. I cannot make or receive calls or texts when this happens. Usually if I shut the phone off and turn it back on it works again, but it is really annoying because sometimes I do not know that people are trying to call me.

Can anyone help me? Thanks!

There is a problem with some Sony Ericsson devices doing that. There is a message that is "stuck" in your outbox. Even if you go in and try to delete all the messages from the outbox there is going to be 1 that you will not be able to and that is the one that is holding everything up. We in Tech Support have found that they only way to get it working again is to do a master reset:

Master Reset

IMPORTANT: The device will be set back to factory settings; all data stored on the device will be lost. The device may not be functional for up to 15 minutes after a master reset is performed.

From the standby screen, press Menu.
Scroll to and select Settings.
Scroll to and select Master Reset.
Scroll to and select Reset Device.
Press Continue.
The device will be restarted, press Continue.

Try sending text now and it should be working.
