I went to walmart today and asked one of the people in electronics for dvds you can burn media on to watch on a dvd player. They showed me which ones to buy so I got them. I got home and burnt a media file to the disc I believe it was a wmv file. when I put it in my dvd player it said cannot play this type of disc. I put it in my xbox and all that came up was it saying mixed media disc and I couldnt watch it. Does anyone know what the problem is.

There are two things that can be wrong:
1) The type of dvd you are using such as DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD+RW or DVD-RW. Some dvd players will only accept a certain format. So research into your dvd player and see what it supports.
2) Half the time WMv files don't work what you need to do is convert that to a MPG4 file and then burn it to the dvd. This should hopefully work then. The only reason i know this stuff is im going through the same problem
