I just set up my system yesterday and it bumps I love it!

However I have an alpine deck that doesn't have the ipod connect so I use one of the ones that plugs into the cigarrete lighters and connect to the station the deck is on.

That works perfect, the subs hit and everything, but when I put in a cd the subs don't hit at all. Its only with a cd that they don't work...what could be my problem here?

The remote wire from your amplifier is connected to a solid blue wire in the Alpine harness. Switch it to the blue/white wire instead, and your problem will be solved.

the ipod has a set default eq, which could have something to do with how much volume it's putting out. with cds you tend to have to turn the volume way up to get the bass you want. it's possible that by the time you have the volume high enough to get proper bass that the subs are cutting out to keep it from blowing the speakers. stock speakers are also supposed to do this, so my guess is your subs are trying not to blow themselves. if your radio has a way to manually manage the eq, than you could mess around with the bass, mid, and treble, as well as putting a good chunk of the fade in the rear. i would just try messing around with that till it puts out bass.
