PS3 - Mad Catz bluetooth setup problem. Help!?

I have a Mad Catz bluetooth headset for my PlayStation 3. I know to register it, I must go to Accessory Settings>Manage Bluetooth Devices; getting there isn't the problem. Turning the headset on, I press 'Start Scanning'. However, nothing is detected. Do I need to press something on the headset? That's not my model. Isn't it in Pairing Mode when it stays solid blue? Mine does nothing but blink.
