PS3 NAT TYPE 3 Motorola 2210-02?

hello ive been trying to get a nat type 2 on my ps3 but this freaking router is giving headache i got atnt high speed internet service. i tried dmz, port opening, opening my upnp and even hooking my modem straight to my ps3 it still nat type 3. anybody knows if i replace this modem will it fix my problem? will i be able to connect to my isp with a different modem that they provided me? PLEASE HELP

you can connect with any modem they provide you but the problem might be that you don't have high speed service
nat type 2 means it allows a relatively unrestricted connection to you and to others incoming connections for online play but if you have low bandwidth then that's just not possible . it'll be like plugging too much into an outlet and blowing the breaker .
call your isp and have them check it out with a different modem but if you have done a speedtest ( speedtest.net ) on the ps3 browser and by doing a connection test on the ps3 you'll see your speeds and ping and have an idea about whether your service can handle nat type 2 .
you need either dsl or broadband through cable with a minimum 512kbs upload and 2mbs download speeds .
