PSX Memory Card troubles in PS2?

I'm pretty sure my psx memory card was working fine for a while, but yesterday I went to go and save FF: Tactics (I decided to beat it for the umpteenth time), but it said it didn't work, I'm going to dig out my psx and see if it works in that. Its a mad catz psx memory card...I've never had problems with it before.

If you need more details just ask!
It works fine in my psx...
 
well, it could be because the mad catz isn't official of it could be one of those multi storage ones and the wrong data area. but in the end both of the systems take the same plugs so it isnt hard to switch between the two.
