Question about a LG Blue-ray player Model 350?

I have a quick question about how to change the area code Under the Set up Menu - Lock tab - Area Code of the player. right now is Under HK where i live. and i want to change it to the US. The Manuel don't really teach you how to change it except direct you to the area code at page 32 and if i try press a number on the remote, on the screen it just show up as a *. a little help on how to change the area code
 
Usually DVD and Blu-Ray players are coded by region depending on what part of the world they're sold in. The only way to change it is with a hack or else buy a player from the U.S.
