Question about a Samsung Intercept through Sprint.?

I just got a new Samsung Intercept through Sprint today. I really like the phone but I cant figure out how to download a wallpaper correctly, I downloaded a couple of wallpapers and both are way to big for the screen once set it, also when I go into my wallpapers the ones I downloaded aren't there. Can anybody offer me any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
