Question about basketball travelling rule.?

If someone passes me the ball, then I move two steps for a lay up WITHOUT dribbling, is that considered a travelling foul?

Premises:
I was standing still when i received the ball
Through out the scenario above, I never dribbled the ball
C'mon guys gimme good answers. You guys are contradicting each other. Gimme sources please. Thanks

You can't take 2 steps after you catch the ball while standing still. but if you start dribbling you could. also you could take 3 steps by taking 1 step after right after the dribble.
