I've got some mackerel fillets i found in the freezer which are apparently already cooked. I'm a bit of an amateur to cooking so i was wondering how i should defrost them and if they need cooking after they've defrosted? Help is really appreciated 
i think they're fine (not gone off) they haven't been there long. i jsut dont know how to tell if they're already cooked or not, it doesn't say on the packet. how long should i defrost them for?
and do i remove the silver skin on one side of the fillet? i don't know hardly anything about fish
