Right so I`m running through a DSL (BT) 210 and all the BT filters and things into the main phone point,in the last 6 months it has increasingly dropped out daily to a one time high of 60 times in one day,BT say it`s my fault but during the snow it dropped out probably 10 times /hour,I`ve checked and double checked every connection, changed filters wires, routers etc and it just gets worse,,I`m virus/bug free and don`t have it near any other electric device etc,all is fine in the house,BT do the usual and ask you to check everything but to no avail
Any ideas as to what may be the problem,

It sounds like you are on "dial up". Change to Broadband. I don't have my landline running through the same connection as my Internet.

It could possibly be the main phone point face plate. Unscrew the two screws on the phone point face plate and take it off. Behind there should be a test socket, plug your filter into it and try that. If that does not work, you should dial 17070 from your phone to do a quiet line test press option 2. The line should be very quiet if all is good, if you hear crackling or sounds of wind etc, contact BT and tell them you want a line test done due to noise on the line, you need them to alter the SNR margin (signal to noise ratio). Any interference on the line will cause your DSL signal to drop.
