Question about military dog tags. and trip to MEPS?

I am signing with the National Guard. Headed to processing at MEPS on Thursday. How soon after i am processed will get my dog tags? also can anyone tell me more about whats its like at MEPS..my recruiter gave me an overview but i want personal accounts of it please.
