Question about "NOTEBOOK" feature on Verizon Wireless phones..?

I was browsing phones on Verizon Wireless and was interested in the LG Dare. When looking at its features, there's a feature called NOTEBOOK as well as NOTEPAD. What is the notebook feature, and is it any different than notepad?
