I'm currently prescribed Sprintec (generic birth control). I have 4 more months before that runs out and I need another prescription. I no longer see the doctor that prescribed it because I moved. I already have a new doctor in this area. I want to see about getting prescribed another type of birth control. My question is: Can all of this be done over the phone or will I have to set up an appt? I had to set up an appt just to do a "new patient" thing...and the insurance company thought I was going in for my yearly exam and since I had already been this year they didn't cover it and I had to pay like $200+ just to talk to the doctor about myself for 10 minutes. I don't want that to happen again because it's still been less than a year from my yearly. (Also a question within a question...would the insurance company count my actual first exam as the date to go from for the yearly...or the one that I just talked to the doctor?...just so I know when to go back to the doctor).
Any help would be great, thanks in advance.
