I have a Samsung Ht-tz225 home theater system which i bought very recently. It was working fine but today when i switched it on, i realized that the front left speaker was not working. When i checked to see why that was i saw that my pet rabbit had eaten through the speaker wire leading to the front left speaker, cutting the wire in half. The rabbit had also chewed on the wire coming from the sub woofer but it was not cut in half. The problem i have is whether it is ok to replace the wire coming from the front left speaker with another wire or is it ok to join the cut two pieces together. The other problem is the wire coming from the sub woofer is directly attached into the sub woofer so there is no way i can replace it with another wire. Is it ok to solder the chewed part with another wire? Will it reduce the quality of the sub woofer? And finally i have heard that switching on your home theater system without any output to the speaker can damage your main unit (not the speaker). Is this true? Because my younger sister had it switched on for about three hours before i noticed the problem. Would appreciate your help very much. Thank you
