Question about using DIVX media subtitler?

Anyone ever try it before? I want to put subtitle in videos that i downloaded from internet using realplayer. However, when i use divx media subtitler and go to"open movie" i don't see the videos. However, i already check that the video is there. Please help me what should i do. I am new with this thing and i need a simple explaination. Thank you
 
Don't know about realplayer but the best thing is to download K-Lite Mega Codec Pack and install it. Then install it. Keep your media file and subtitle file in the same folder. Both file should have same name and extensions should be different. Video's extension can be anything and subtitle file's extension should be .srt. Now you can play the file on Windows Media Player and subtitles will appear automatically.
