Question about Verizon Wireless upgrades.?

Ok so I'm due for an upgrade on my phone. I was wondering if I went online and ordered my new phone now would I have to pay for it now or would it just show up on my next bill?
If you have previous experience working with verizon I would appreciate your input.

If your account has been suspended in the last 6 months for collections then no, if not then it will give you the option to bill your purchase to the account.
