Me and my wife will be cruising with Royal Caribbean on the 24th of this month, but I was curious about the shore excursions. Is it better to book with the cruise line or should we look for local excursion while we're there? We'd like to do things like snorkeling, scuba diving, and para-sailing. Thanks in advance.

Booking thru cruise line is always more expensive. U can get the same from locals for less $.

Part of the answer involves what kind of shore excursion you are contemplating. If you are looking at one that takes you several hours away, or doing something where a delay, injury, or other problem may arise, then strongly consider booking through the ship. The last thing you want is to be late and miss the sailing... they will not wait for you.

On the other hand, if it is something pretty close, then by all means you will have no end of options once you get on the pier.

Enjoy!
